Account recovery

Your 24-word recovery phrase combined with material we hold lets you derive your master key. We never see your phrase; you never see our stored material in plaintext. Both halves are needed.

Recovery preserves your encrypted data. If you've also lost your phrase, use a destructive reset instead — that generates new keys but unpublishes existing pages.

Separate words with spaces. Case-insensitive.

Your password derives an encryption key in your browser. We never see it. That's why you'll get a 24-word recovery phrase — it's the only way back in if you forget your password.
